Every year on the third Monday in January, also known as MLK day (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day), you can experience the annual Taste of la Frontera. This annual event allows the most unique eateries in the area to tap into an affluent audience to showcase their own original gastronomy. The event includes an array of flavors from our border region which patrons sample throughout the evening; coupled with great live music!

With beverages flowing throughout the event, Taste of La Frontera is a staple in the community and the favorite kickoff of the holiday season unique to Brownsville, TX, amongst all who share the Charro Days spirit!

 

We are proud that our most iconic signature event coincides with this federal holiday which celebrates and honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a tireless advocate for racial equality, working classes, and the oppressed around the world. It is truly a day for celebration!
